On my way to New Year’s in Minnesota, I pulled one-last-couchsurfing-stop with Kristin, my new friend in Decorah whom I met through connections with the Oneota Film Festival. Kristin’s into snowshoeing, and had the great idea of night-shoeing to utilize both outdoors-in-winter and short-daylight-hours. I really got the hang of my new snowshoes, tramping-up trails-in-the-hills-surrounding-Decorah with her and her perfectly-fit 60-yr-old pace-setter friend, Gary.
