Epilogue from Elkader, Iowa
For the first 2 weeks I barely moved, sleeping as long as possible in my high school bedroom, eating Mom’s cookies and watching James Bond VHSs from a big-movie-box-my-dad-picked-up-at-an-auction-somewhere (amazing, the lack of language/cultural/currency problems 007 encounters country-to-country). Now You're Back in New York

Notes on Ethiopia from the...
Ethiopia is the only country I’ve visited that goes on a completely different time-day-month-and-year.  Their 1 o’clock equals our 6AM and 6PM (which makes sense for starting the morning and evening on a “1!”).  Their calender is currently 6 years, 11 months, and 7 days behind the Gregorian (the difference constantly changes b/c their months and years are different...
